Who Is Dr. Terese?

Dr. Terese Grimmett was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, and has lived in eight different states, enjoying the privilege of serving diverse communities throughout her career. She holds a Clinical Science Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, a Master’s Degree in Communication Disorders from North Carolina Central University, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Tennessee State University. With nearly two decades of experience, Dr. Grimmett is a dedicated speech-language pathologist and certified autism spectrum disorder clinical specialist, actively contributing to the field as a member of several professional organizations, including the American Speech and Hearing Association (ASHA) and the National Black Association of Speech Language and Hearing.

Currently, Dr. Grimmett works as a diagnostic SLP in a preschool clinic and serves as a clinical educator and course designer for FTA Consultants, focusing on special populations and cultural diversity. Dr. Terese is also known for her engaging 'edutainment' content on social media, aimed at parents and professionals. When she’s not immersed in her work, she enjoys brunching, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends and her dog, Nipsey Hustle, all while actively serving her community through organizations like Top Ladies of Distinction and her beloved Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated.
